We hosted another well attended private investor evening last night at the offices of Hudson Sandler in Charterhouse Square when 4 listed companies presented to a group of Private investors and family offices at the latest Yellowstone Advisory Event.
There were four very different companies that presented but there was a common theme. All were encouraging about the growth prospects for their businesses and despite the current difficult economic environment were really quite upbeat about the future. So a couple of lines on each of them.
Central Asia Metals PLC: The existing businesses are performing well and on top of that the copper price is hitting new highs, contributing to significant cash generation. It will be an exciting year for the project pipeline with maiden drilling in Kazakstan and test drilling in Scotland. The company has almost 25% of its market cap in cash and pays a generous dividend too. The total shareholder return since IPO in 2012 is 304%.
Light Science Technologies Holdings Plc: New acquisition Injectaclad has secured its first order and has five further commitments in just its first two weeks and management are very excited about the prospects for the business. This new business on its own could reach £50m of sales over the medium term given the near 40k buildings that need remediation.
Fevara plc: Making farm animals healthier and more productive. New CEO Joshua Hoopes is focussing the business on higher margin specialist areas and is already making a big impact. There is a huge market in Brazil for their products and they are only just getting going.
Bow Street Group: Owner of the Wildwood and dim-T brands. New management team have made a number of changes since arriving in September and are seeing the benefits come through in higher sales and improved profits. Chair David Page and CFO Nick Wong have a great track record turning around restaurant businesses and have ambitious targets for the company. Don’t be surprised to see some new brands added to the group too.
For those that have not attended before these events provide companies with the opportunity to connect with private investors in a relaxed environment. After the formal presentations where the investment case is pitched there is time for Q&A and then informal discussions over drinks and canapes.
Many thanks to Gavin Ferrar, Simon Deacon, Joshua Hoopes, Gavin Manson, David Page and Nick Wong for presenting. Many thanks to Hudson Sandler for hosting this event.
Future events are planned for 24 June, 16 September and 11 November
